Name the stage of the application

An application, a rate estimate, a released quote and an issued policy represent different stages. Clear language helps the applicant understand which stage they have reached and what still needs to happen.

Undivo’s workflow is designed around those distinctions. Available actions depend on the carrier’s configuration, the application’s readiness and the authority granted to that workflow. A displayed estimate should never leave the applicant guessing whether coverage is already in force.

Make the annual cost visible first

Start with the annual amount and clearly identify the coverage or calculation it represents. If taxes or fees are included, show them in the breakdown. If the figure excludes them, say so beside the figure rather than leaving that explanation to a later screen.

For fleet insurance, a per-power-unit amount adds useful context. It should reconcile with the rated fleet count and should not be confused with a monthly payment.

Explain the whole payment schedule

When payment options are available, applicants need more than a down-payment percentage. Show the initial amount, the number of installments, the regular installment amount and any different final installment. Keep the annual total visible so the options are easy to compare.

A payment illustration is not the same as financing approval or a completed payment. Any lender charges, payment authorization or additional requirements should be addressed in the applicable payment workflow. Selecting a preference should not be presented as a charge to the applicant.

End with one understandable action

The final screen should tell the applicant what they can do next: review an available quote, provide missing information or wait for carrier review. Relevant application documents and the submission reference should remain easy to find.

That same clarity matters to the team receiving the application. A shared client record, linked documents and visible responsibility help carrier staff and authorized brokers continue the conversation without asking the applicant to start again.
